Since I just got a bunch of new Papertrey Ink products in the mail, I decided to participate in their Blog Hop this month. I adore the Wet Paint sentiment set that they just released. The font reminds me of the old Penny Black stamps I used to collect and even though I'm waiting on this Winnie and Walter set, I went ahead and added this one to my collection. I also got this Sketched Shape sets designed by Maile Belles that is very versatile. I bet I'll get a lot of use out of both of these! To make the card, I started with a Neenah Solar White 110# card base and masked it off with some Post-It tape. I then used an ink dauber to add some color (Audrey Blue from Simon Says Stamp! which might be my new favorite) around the edge of my rectangle and I pulled the color towards the center. I then stamped my Sketched Shape images using Audrey Blue and Doll Pink. I traced the rectangle using a Jolly Exakt Extra Fine pen before I carefully removed my Post-It tape. The sentiment was then stamped using VersaFine Onyx Black and then stamped over in clear embossing so I could add some black embossing powder. I felt like the embossing on its own did not give enough gloss and I seemed to have forgotten how my Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel worked so I covered the embossing with Stampin' Up!'s Crystal Effects. I was very pleased with the end result! Thanks for stopping by today :-)

This is beautiful- I love your inked background, and it's so stunning against your glossy sentiment!
